MihsabaCube Calculator

Cube Calculator

Start from side length, volume, surface area or space diagonal and recover the cube’s main measurements with correct unit powers.

How to use

This calculator links the core measurements of a cube. Give a side length, volume, surface area or space diagonal; the tool first recovers the side length and derives every other result from it.

  1. Choose the known measurement.
  2. Enter its value and a length unit.
  3. Calculate to recover the side length.
  4. Review volume, area, face/space diagonals and total edge length.

How it is calculated

V=s³; S=6s²; face diagonal=s√2; space diagonal=s√3; total edge length=12s

Example

For a 5 cm side: volume is 125 cm³, surface area 150 cm², face diagonal about 7.071 cm and space diagonal about 8.660 cm.

Important notes

Volume is cubic, surface area is squared, while side and diagonals are lengths. Make sure the selected unit corresponds to the underlying length unit of the value you enter.

Frequently asked questions

Face diagonal vs space diagonal?

A face diagonal crosses one square face and equals s√2; a space diagonal crosses the solid and equals s√3.

Can I start from volume?

Yes. The side is the cube root of volume.

How many edges does a cube have?

Twelve equal edges, so their total length is 12s.

Is this calculator free?

Yes. It is free to use and requires no account.
