How to use
- Enter Total revenue.
- Enter Active clients.
- Calculate, then review the period, scope and assumptions before using the result for pricing or planning.
How it is calculated
Example
Revenue of 120,000 across 12 active clients gives an arithmetic average of 10,000 per client for the same period.
Important notes
The average can hide large differences between clients; review the distribution and revenue concentration if one or two clients dominate.
Worked examples and interpreting results
| Case | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Average per client | 120000 ÷ 12 | 10,000 |
| Clients | 12 | 12 |
Frequently asked questions
Should I count active clients only?
Use a consistent definition; for current-period analysis, clients generating revenue in that period are usually most useful.
Is the result a mandatory client price?
No. It is a planning result from your inputs; final pricing depends on scope, market, contract, taxes and risk.
Should I use monthly or annual figures?
Keep all inputs on the same period so annual income is not mixed with monthly hours or expenses.
