How to use
- Enter Value base.
- Enter Annual rate %.
- Calculate, then verify which items are included in the definition before comparing.
How it is calculated
Annual premium estimate = value base × rate ÷ 100
Example
A 1,000,000 value base at an assumed 0.4% gives 4,000 annually and about 333.33 monthly.
Important notes
Actual premium depends on coverage, location, risk, replacement cost and deductible. The rate here is a planning input, not an insurance quote.
Worked examples and interpreting results

Frequently asked questions
Is market value always the insurance base?
No. Policies may use replacement cost or other bases. Use the basis relevant to the actual quote.
Are these rates legally required?
No. This is a general math tool; actual fees, rates and rules vary by contract, provider and jurisdiction.
How should two scenarios be compared?
Use the same period and cost definitions, and change one variable at a time where possible.
