How it is calculated
Example
100 clicks from 20,000 impressions give CTR of 0.5%, equivalent to 5 clicks per thousand impressions. With 200 clicks and the same impressions, CTR is 1%.
Important notes
This is an event ratio, not a unique-person probability or purchase rate. It can exceed 100% if a report counts multiple clicks per impression. A higher rate alone does not establish traffic quality or sales.

Frequently asked questions
Does a result of 0.5 mean 50%?
The displayed value is already a percentage. 0.5% means five clicks per thousand impressions.
Should I use reach instead of impressions?
Not for the CTR defined here. Reach counts unique people and changes the denominator’s meaning.
Does this convert currencies or import campaign data?
It uses only entered numbers, without import or currency conversion. Align currency, period and metric definitions in your source before entering values.
