How to use
- Enter Invoice amount.
- Enter Amount paid.
- Calculate, then review the period, scope and assumptions before using the result for pricing or planning.
How it is calculated
Example
An invoice of 10,000 with 4,000 paid is 40% paid and leaves a 6,000 balance before any extra fees or adjustments.
Important notes
If paid amount exceeds the invoice, the percentage exceeds 100% and balance becomes negative; review whether the difference is credit or another invoice payment.
Worked examples and interpreting results
| Case | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Paid % | 4000 ÷ 10000 × 100 | 40 % |
| Remaining | 10000 − 4000 | 6,000 |
Frequently asked questions
Does a deposit count as amount paid?
If the deposit is allocated to the same invoice, it can be included in amount paid.
Is the result a mandatory client price?
No. It is a planning result from your inputs; final pricing depends on scope, market, contract, taxes and risk.
Should I use monthly or annual figures?
Keep all inputs on the same period so annual income is not mixed with monthly hours or expenses.
