How to use
- Enter Collected amount.
- Enter Invoiced amount.
- Calculate, then review the period, scope and assumptions before using the result for pricing or planning.
How it is calculated
Example
Collecting 90,000 from 100,000 invoiced gives a 90% collection rate and leaves 10,000 uncollected for the measured period.
Important notes
Invoice timing and due dates matter; do not treat a new, not-yet-due invoice as a collection problem, and use aging analysis for lateness.
Worked examples and interpreting results
| Case | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Collection rate | 90000 ÷ 100000 × 100 | 90 % |
| Uncollected | 100000 − 90000 | 10,000 |
Frequently asked questions
Can the rate exceed 100%?
It can if old receivables are included in collections but compared with one period's invoices; align the cohort or period for interpretation.
Is the result a mandatory client price?
No. It is a planning result from your inputs; final pricing depends on scope, market, contract, taxes and risk.
Should I use monthly or annual figures?
Keep all inputs on the same period so annual income is not mixed with monthly hours or expenses.
