How to use
This tool converts pay among hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and annual views without assuming one country's payroll rules. You choose hours per week, days per week and paid weeks per year, and every output is normalized from the same annual basis.
- Choose the pay period represented by the amount you enter.
- Enter the pay amount, hours per week, days per week and paid weeks per year.
- Calculate; the amount is normalized to annual pay and annual working hours.
- Review hourly, daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly and annual equivalents.
How it is calculated
Example
Example: annual pay of 52,000 with 40 hours per week and 52 paid weeks means 2,080 annual hours, so the hourly equivalent is 25. Monthly equivalent is 52,000 ÷ 12 ≈ 4,333.33.
Important notes
This is an arithmetic pay-equivalence tool, not payroll, tax, legal or financial advice. It does not automatically add taxes, benefits, bonuses, overtime or deductions. Use gross or net amounts consistently and adjust paid weeks if your schedule includes unpaid time.
Worked examples and interpreting results
Annual pay 52000 with 40 hours/week and 52 weeks gives 25 per hour and 1000 weekly. The entered working-week count is part of the assumption.
| Case | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Hourly pay | 52000 ÷ (40 × 52) | 25 |
| Weekly pay | 52000 ÷ 52 | 1,000 |
How to check the result
Choose annual and enter 52000. This compares entered gross pay; paid leave, benefits and overtime are not inferred automatically.
Annual salary to hourly pay and back
Convert annual gross pay to an hourly rate by dividing by working weeks multiplied by weekly hours. With 52 weeks at 40 hours, a full working year represents 2,080 hours.
- 52,000 annual salary to hourly rate: 52000÷(52×40) = 25/hour
- 30 per hour to annual salary: 30×40×52 = 62400/year
- 8 hours at 25 per hour: 8×25 = 200
Calculation caveat
This is a gross-pay estimate. Paid leave, overtime, bonuses, deductions and actual working weeks can affect take-home pay.
