How to use
- Enter Base salary.
- Enter Bonus rate %.
- Calculate, then verify pay, hours and percentages refer to the same period.
How it is calculated
Bonus = base salary × rate ÷ 100
Example
Base salary of 10,000 with a 10% bonus gives 1,000 bonus and 11,000 total.
Important notes
Use base salary for the same period as the bonus; do not mix a monthly base with an annual percentage calculation without conversion.
Worked examples and interpreting results

Frequently asked questions
Is the percentage applied to base or total salary?
This calculator applies it to the figure entered as base salary.
Is the result a guaranteed take-home pay?
No. Taxes, insurance, allowances and deductions vary by employer and jurisdiction; use the calculator as a mathematical estimate only.
Should time periods be consistent?
Yes. When comparing pay, hours or deductions, keep the same period so weekly, monthly and annual figures are not mixed.
