How it is calculated
Example

Important notes
A carrier may round upward or apply minimums after selecting the weight. This calculator only selects the larger value before extra billing rules.

Frequently asked questions
What if actual weight is larger?
Actual weight becomes the chargeable weight under the larger-of-two rule.
Is the result an actual carrier quote?
No. The calculator applies your inputs mathematically; carriers may use minimums, zones, tiers, fees and different rounding rules.
What matters most before comparing?
Keep units, period and cost scope consistent, and know whether pricing uses actual, dimensional or chargeable weight.
