How to use
- Enter Length cm.
- Enter Width cm.
- Enter Height cm.
- Calculate, then review units, cost scope and billing rule before comparing.
How it is calculated
cm³ = length × width × height; m³ = cm³ ÷ 1,000,000
Example
A 60×40×30 cm carton has 72,000 cm³ volume, equal to 0.072 m³ or 72 litres.
Important notes
The result follows the dimensions entered. Use internal dimensions for packing capacity and usually external dimensions for shipping volume.
Worked examples and interpreting results
| Case | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| cm³ | 60 × 40 × 30 | 72,000 |
| m³ | 72000 ÷ 1000000 | 0.072 |
| Litres | 72000 ÷ 1000 | 72 |
Frequently asked questions
Is usable packing volume equal to geometric volume?
Not always. Carton thickness, product shape, cushioning and voids reduce practical utilization.
Is the result an actual carrier quote?
No. The calculator applies your inputs mathematically; carriers may use minimums, zones, tiers, fees and different rounding rules.
What matters most before comparing?
Keep units, period and cost scope consistent, and know whether pricing uses actual, dimensional or chargeable weight.
