How to use
Estimate rectangular slab concrete volume, order volume with allowance and bags using your entered mixed yield per bag.
- Enter Length (m).
- Enter Width (m).
- Enter Thickness or depth (cm).
- Enter Waste or extra allowance (%).
- Enter Mixed yield per bag (m³).
- Calculate, then review the results and method assumptions.
How it is calculated
Example
A 5 × 4 m slab at 10 cm thickness has volume 2 m³. Adding 10% gives 2.2 m³. With a hypothetical mixed yield of 0.015 m³ per bag, round upward to 147 bags.
Important notes
Mixed yield is not bag weight; use the product’s yield after mixing. This tool estimates quantity only, not structural thickness, reinforcement or strength, and does not assume actual ground is perfectly even.
Worked examples and interpreting results
A 5 × 4 m slab at 10 cm thickness has volume 2 m³. Adding 10% gives 2.2 m³. With a hypothetical mixed yield of 0.015 m³ per bag, round upward to 147 bags.
| Case | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Slab volume | 5 × 4 × (10 ÷ 100) | 2 m³ |
| Bags at the assumed yield | ceil(2.2 ÷ 0.015) | 147 |
How to check the result
Mixed yield is not bag weight; use the product’s yield after mixing. This tool estimates quantity only, not structural thickness, reinforcement or strength, and does not assume actual ground is perfectly even.
Frequently asked questions
Why divide thickness by 100?
Length and width use metres while thickness uses centimetres. Dividing converts thickness to metres before calculating cubic metres.
Do I enter bag weight as yield?
No. Enter cubic metres of concrete produced after mixing, not kilograms or dry powder volume.
Does the result include purchase cost?
This tool estimates quantities only. Multiply packages or required volume by your actual price, then add transport and other project materials.
