How to use
- Enter Monthly rent.
- Enter Days in month.
- Enter Billable days.
- Calculate, then verify input definitions before comparing properties or periods.
How it is calculated
Prorated rent = monthly rent ÷ days in month × billable days
Example
Rent of 6,000 in a 30-day month equals 200 per day; 12 billable days give 2,400 prorated rent.
Important notes
Some contracts use a fixed 30-day basis or another method. Follow the lease when it specifies a different convention.
Worked examples and interpreting results
| Case | Calculation | Result |

| Prorated rent | 200 × 12 | 2,400 |
Frequently asked questions
Should every month use 30 days?
Not always. Use the day-count convention specified by the lease or agreed method.
Should inputs cover the same period?
Yes. When comparing income, expense, balance or price figures, keep the period and definitions consistent.
Is the result a final property valuation?
No. The calculator gives a numerical relationship only; real decisions also depend on location, market conditions, taxes, financing and risk.
