How to use
- Enter Monthly kWh.
- Enter Price per kWh.
- Calculate, then review power, price and period before comparing.
How it is calculated
Annual kWh = monthly kWh × 12; cost = annual kWh × price
Example
Monthly use of 600 kWh equals 7,200 kWh annually; at 0.18 per kWh the annual cost is 1,296.
Important notes
This assumes similar monthly use. If consumption is strongly seasonal, sum actual monthly data for a more accurate annual estimate.
Worked examples and interpreting results
| Case | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Annual kWh | 600 × 12 | 7,200 |
| Cost | 7200 × 0.18 | 1,296 |
Frequently asked questions
Does this include price changes during the year?
No. It uses one fixed price; use an expected average or calculate periods separately.
Is the result an actual utility bill?
No. It is a calculation from your usage, price and inputs; real tariffs, taxes and fixed fees may add other items.
How can I improve accuracy?
Use measured or device-specific power and usage plus the actual electricity price for the same period.
