How to use
- Enter Power W.
- Enter Hours per day.
- Enter Days.
- Enter Price per kWh.
- Calculate, then review power, price and period before comparing.
How it is calculated
Cost = (watts ÷ 1000 × hours × days) × price/kWh
Example
A 1,500 W appliance running 4 hours daily for 30 days uses 180 kWh; at 0.18 per kWh it costs 32.4.
Important notes
If electricity price varies by time or tier, use a representative average or the time-of-use calculator instead of one fixed price.
Worked examples and interpreting results
| Case | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Energy | 1500 ÷ 1000 × 4 × 30 | 180 |
| Cost | 180 × 0.18 | 32.4 |
Frequently asked questions
Does this include fixed service charges?
No. It calculates variable energy cost from the kWh price only.
Is the result an actual utility bill?
No. It is a calculation from your usage, price and inputs; real tariffs, taxes and fixed fees may add other items.
How can I improve accuracy?
Use measured or device-specific power and usage plus the actual electricity price for the same period.
