How to use
- Enter Route cost.
- Enter Stops.
- Calculate, then review units, cost scope and billing rule before comparing.
How it is calculated
Cost per stop = route cost ÷ stops
Example
A delivery route costing 900 with 30 stops gives an average cost of 30 per stop.
Important notes
Stops are not always equal in distance, service time or order size. The average is useful for broad comparison, not precise pricing of each address.
Worked examples and interpreting results
| Case | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Per stop | 900 ÷ 30 | 30 |
| Stops | 30 | 30 |
Frequently asked questions
Should failed deliveries count as stops?
If they create real route cost, include them according to a consistent metric definition.
Is the result an actual carrier quote?
No. The calculator applies your inputs mathematically; carriers may use minimums, zones, tiers, fees and different rounding rules.
What matters most before comparing?
Keep units, period and cost scope consistent, and know whether pricing uses actual, dimensional or chargeable weight.
