How to use
- Enter Bill total.
- Enter Fixed fee.
- Enter Usage kWh.
- Calculate, then review power, price and period before comparing.
How it is calculated
Price/kWh = (bill total − fixed fee) ÷ usage
Example
A bill of 128 with a 20 fixed fee and 600 kWh usage leaves 108 for energy, giving 0.18 per kWh in this model.
Important notes
If the bill uses multiple tiers or percentage taxes, the result becomes an implicit average rather than an official single energy rate.
Worked examples and interpreting results
| Case | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Energy charge | 128 − 20 | 108 |
| Price/kWh | 108 ÷ 600 | 0.18 |
Frequently asked questions
What if the fixed fee exceeds the bill total?
Those inputs do not fit this model; review the fee definition or bill components.
Is the result an actual utility bill?
No. It is a calculation from your usage, price and inputs; real tariffs, taxes and fixed fees may add other items.
How can I improve accuracy?
Use measured or device-specific power and usage plus the actual electricity price for the same period.
